Every day, thousands of adolescents and children flee their home country from war, bombs, violence and persecution. Next Friday (June 20th) is #WorldRefugeeDay. This day brings awareness to the 44 million people who are on the run worldwide - that's the population of Colombia and the highest number in the last 20 years!

In Hamburg alone we expect an increase of 28% more asylum seekers. 4.600 new refugees will be coming to our town this year. The accomodation for refugees are all overcrowded and local authorities plan additional containers to avoid refugees from living in tents.

Almost 2.700 underaged refugees live in Hamburg. Children for Tomorrow has capacities to treat up to 800 children with psychotherapy. For the first time in a long time, we can't cope with the increasing number of children who come to us and ask for help. More than 200 refugee children are on our waiting list and we have to turn down many requests for therapy every day.

Please help us to finance more therapists so we can give more young refugees the chance for a healthy future.

In the name of all children we thank you very much.
