ZDF, Mona Lisa: „Traumatized children on the run“
The program “Mona Lisa”, ZDF, accompanied two adolescents of our refugee ambulance at “Children for Tomorrow” for a day.
Shafiq is eleven when his father was killed in Afghanistan. At 15 he started his flight to Europe. Samir is from Somalia. He was twelve when his father was killed. With 14 he flew to Africa and from there to Europe. Both of them experienced terror on their flights: torture, murder, rape and the endless struggles to survive. Today, both of them are at our refugee clinic of “Children for Tomorrow”. Here, they found help and thanks to their therapies they are able to talk about their experiences.
